📍 Residents and village chiefs in Khengjoi Sector, Chandel district, held a public rally at Khengjang and Molcham villages opposing the proposed India-Myanmar border demarcation. Organised under the aegis of the Affected Border Area Kuki Chiefs of Khengjoi Sector, the protesters raised concerns over the proposed realignment of Boundary Pillars 65 to 68, claiming it does not follow the existing ground position traditionally occupied by Kuki-Zo communities. The organisers said the affected land includes homesteads, agricultural fields, burial grounds and customary community land, and asserted that they would not accept any transfer of village land.
