The Foothills Naga Co–Ordination Committee (FNCC), Imphal, has issued a strong warning regarding the launch of an indefinite road blockade and general strike across the foothill regions of Naga-inhabited areas starting from midnight of July 18, 2025.
The proposed agitation is a response to what the FNCC terms as continued neglect and unresolved issues concerning the rights and development of the foothill Naga communities. While the committee has not elaborated on specific demands in the latest communication, earlier grievances have centered around administrative neglect, land rights, and security concerns in the foothill zones bordering the hills and the valley.
