🏛️ The 14 CSOs Kangleipak have announced that they will enforce a statewide total shutdown from the midnight of August 9 if the Manipur Government does not organise a seminar or workshop on the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) before the Census process begins. Addressing a press conference, the joint forum urged the Government to hold consultations with intellectuals and representatives of all communities and finalise the NRC pre-conditions by August 8. The organisations said the proposed agitation would be withdrawn if the Government announces the pre-conditions before the deadline. These are the demands and statements made by the CSOs.
