In a significant move towards transforming governance in Manipur, the Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, chaired a series of high-level meetings at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, focusing on strengthening the state’s digital ecosystem for effective public service delivery.
The deliberations highlighted four key pillars of digital reform:

AI-Driven Case Management:
Integration of artificial intelligence tools to streamline case tracking and ensure faster redressal of grievances. -
Enhanced e-Office Services:
Expanding the e-Office platform to promote efficiency, reduce paperwork, and accelerate decision-making across departments. -
GIS-Based Village Analysis:
Deployment of geographic information systems for data-driven village-level planning, enabling better targeting of welfare and development initiatives. -
Strengthened Public Information Systems:
Improving transparency and accessibility of government information to empower citizens with timely and accurate updates.
The Governor stressed that these digital measures must not remain on paper but be executed in time-bound phases, ensuring that citizens experience visible improvements in governance.
Speaking at the meeting, Shri Bhalla underscored that “efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric governance is no longer optional — it is a necessity.” He urged departments to adopt technology responsibly, while keeping inclusivity and accessibility at the forefront.
This renewed push reflects Manipur’s broader commitment to harnessing technology for governance, especially at a time when public demand for transparency, accountability, and real-time service delivery is at its peak.
