Security forces have successfully facilitated the movement of 346 vehicles transporting essential commodities along National Highway-37, a critical lifeline into Manipur, amid continuing unrest and tensions in the state.
Officials confirmed that strict security protocols were enforced throughout the vulnerable stretches. Sensitive areas were covered by convoy escorts, ensuring safe passage without incident.
Additionally, a total of 111 checkpoints (Nakas) have been activated across both hill and valley districts. Despite the extensive deployment, no detentions were made at any of these locations in the past 24 hours, police sources said.
This level of coordination indicates that, while the region remains tense, logistical supply routes are being steadily maintained, averting any immediate humanitarian shortfall.
