On the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the Government of Manipur joined the rest of the nation in celebrating Children’s Day, paying tribute not only to India’s first Prime Minister but also to the joy, innocence, and limitless dreams of every child in the state.
Nehru, affectionately known as Chacha Nehru, championed children as the beating heart of the nation’s progress. His belief that “children are the future” continues to inspire policies and programmes dedicated to their well-being, education, and development.
Marking the occasion, the State Government reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the rights of children and creating an environment where every young mind can learn, grow, and thrive.

A senior state representative remarked,
