The Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) held a significant meeting with the Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, today at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Churachandpur. The discussions revolved around 16 pressing public issues that directly impact Kuki-Zo inhabited areas across the state.

The delegation presented a wide-ranging set of concerns, with particular emphasis on infrastructure, governance, and basic services.

Security Discussions with DGAR
Later in the day, the KZC Cabinet met with the Director General of Assam Rifles (DGAR) at the 27 Sector Headquarters, Tuibuong. This meeting centred on security and stability in Kuki-Zo areas, with both sides stressing the need for cooperation between local communities and security forces to maintain peace.
The day’s back-to-back meetings reflected the growing effort to bridge communication between tribal councils, the state administration, and security agencies in addressing both governance gaps and security challenges.
