In an ongoing effort to ensure law and order amid the prevailing tensions in Manipur, security forces have intensified search operations and area domination activities across vulnerable and fringe zones of the state.
The coordinated efforts by the police and central security forces are aimed at restoring a sense of normalcy while facilitating the uninterrupted flow of essential supplies to various districts.
Secured Movement of Essential Goods on NH-37
As part of the daily security logistics, 243 vehicles carrying essential commodities were successfully escorted along the National Highway-37. Special security convoys were deployed along sensitive and vulnerable stretches of the highway to ensure safe passage.
“Strict security measures are in place at critical junctions and convoy escorts continue to be provided,” said an official involved in the operations.
Checkpoint Deployment Across the State
A robust system of 111 Nakas/Checkpoints has been established in both the hill and valley districts of Manipur. These checkpoints serve dual purposes: preventing the movement of anti-social elements and boosting public confidence.
