In a major step towards curbing the circulation of illegal arms in Manipur, Security Forces arrested a youth in New Keithelmanbi Bazar, Imphal West district, and seized a firearm along with ammunition.
The arrested individual has been identified as Pukhrambam Mani Singh (25), a resident of Sagolmang Mamang Leikai in Imphal East district. During the search, forces recovered a country-made pistol and one magazine loaded with a 9mm live round from his possession. Singh was immediately taken into custody and handed over to the police for further investigation and necessary legal action.
