The United Naga Council (UNC) has formally submitted the list of its delegation for the upcoming talks with the Government of India, scheduled to be held today at Raj Bhavan, Imphal. The dialogue will primarily focus on the contentious issues of scrapping the Free Movement Regime (FMR) and border fencing in Naga areas.
According to the official communication from UNC General Secretary Vareiyo Shatsang, the delegation comprises top leaders from the UNC, Naga Women’s Union (NWU), and the All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM). The inclusion of diverse representatives signals a collective stance from the Naga civil society on these pressing matters.
