In connection with an ongoing NDPS Act investigation registered at Churachandpur Police Station, Manipur Police arrested Mrs. Zenngaihniang (56) of Gouchinkhup Veng, New Lamka, Churachandpur. Police recovered ₹28,78,400, suspected to be proceeds from drug-related crime, along with five cash registers and a cash-counting machine. According to police, the accused is suspected of transferring large sums of money to alleged beneficiaries of the drug trade in Myanmar. Further investigation is in progress.
