The Dhanamanjuri University Students’ Union (DMUSU) has warned of launching an agitation over the alleged non-payment of non-NET fellowships to PhD scholars. Speaking to the media, DMUSU President Irom Dimocha claimed that around 800 research scholars from the 2022, 2024 and 2026 batches have not received their fellowship or stipend. He said the union would intensify its protest if the pending payments are not released at the earliest. These claims and demands were made by the union and have not been independently verified.
