The People’s United for Action (PUYA) has alleged irregularities in the functioning of Moirangpurel Community Health Centre (CHC) in Imphal East, claiming the government health facility is operating like a private hospital. The organisation alleged shortages of government medical staff, collection of fees beyond prescribed norms, and non-functional X-ray services. PUYA has urged the Manipur Health Department to conduct an immediate inquiry and ensure the CHC functions in accordance with public healthcare norms.
