Security forces carried out extensive search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas of the hill and valley districts. These operations aimed to enhance security and curb the presence of illegal arms and ammunition in the region.

Items Recovered During the Operation

During the operation, security personnel successfully recovered a range of illegal weapons and equipment, including:

• 1 Ex-Caliber with 1 empty magazine
• 1 Ex-Caliber (Registered No. 141806758) with 1 empty magazine
• 1 Country-made Mortar (Pumpi)
• 4 Mortar (Pumpi) rounds (small size)
• 1 Mortar (Pumpi) round (medium size)
• 2 Wireless sets (Baofeng brand)
• 2 Bulletproof plates
• 8 Chest vests/Body armor
• 1 Tactical helmet
• 5 5.56 mm ammunition

The recovered items were found in the Songpi village and Pearsonmum village, located within the Churachandpur Forest areas, under the jurisdiction of CCP-PS, Churachandpur District.
