In a move aimed at narrowing the digital divide, the Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) of Moreh, Shri Ejaj Hassan, has donated a full computer set with UPS and a printer to Kwatha Village, one of Manipur’s most remote and hard-to-reach settlements.
The initiative is expected to significantly improve local connectivity, streamline record-keeping, and strengthen coordination between the village and district administration. It will also open doors for better access to educational resources, making technology a more integral part of daily life in Kwatha.
Calling it “a small but important step towards ensuring that even our remotest villages are not left behind in the digital age,” Shri Hassan stressed the need for extending technological access beyond urban centres.
Residents of Kwatha expressed heartfelt gratitude, describing the contribution as timely and essential for their community’s development. The equipment will not only aid administrative work but also provide a valuable learning tool for the younger generation.
